Why Are US Mail Forwarding Services So Popular?
US mail forwarding services have never been more popular, just why is that? For me, I have an idea – and there is more than one reason.
1) Overseas US Citizens
Right now there are more Americans than ever before living outside of the USA
When people move overseas, they often still have mail and packages for their attention and these deliveries have to be managed. An international package & mail forwarding service is perfect. You’ll find that a few mail forwarding companies will ship your mail periodically – say once a month – and bundle it all together for you. Then send it to you overseas .
This service has some great benefits:
a) For one your domestic mail from back home arrives all at once, no separately over time.
b) Lower international postal costs – one bigger package that is going to be shipped internationally rather than ‘several’ smaller packages to be shipped is a lot cheaper. Also you should find, as I do, that the forwarding service can get you a lower shipping cost than you could personally get (they negotiate special deals with the various international freight companies like UPS etc).
c) Also if the labelling on your delivery is discrete then your import duty will be modest – or even nothing!
2) US Shopping from Overseas
The other main reason for the popularity of US package forwarding services is it enables non-US residents to easly shop US retailers. This is what I do now and I use MyUS. Shopping in the US is great – a lot of choice and good prices. I imagine that the present state of the $US will maintain this for now.
Internet shopping from the USA makes it all so simple. And so a USA mail forwarding service from My US makes a lot of sense. You can buy in person or online, your gadgets, books, personal products (I buy a lot of cheap health products) etc and have them sent to your myus address where the international shipping company can onward deliver to you.
