Time Is Limited So Make The Most Of What You Have

Life only lasts a certain time so we would be wise to make the best use of what we are given. You may feel time goes slowly but an hour gone by won’t be seen again and your daily limit is just 24. With just three hundred and sixty-five days each year we cannot afford to waste any since we can never get them back. These are the only years we get so we should try to ensure they are the best years we could possibly have.

You don’t get any choice on how much time you have. You can make more money, you can have more relationships but you cannot make a moment of extra time beyond your lifespan. You may know the phrase about Time Waits For No Man and nor will it wait for women. The llimits to what you can achieve are more about lack of time than they are about money.

When I thought about the total number of minutes I might have left I knew I should try to enjoy each one more while I stll can. The phrase time management is a term we associate with business efficiancy but we can all learn time management skills and use the techniques in our daily lives to achieve more or what we want from life.

It doesn’t matter what it is you want to achieve. If you like travelling you can travel more and you can spend more time with your family. The more time you are able to free up, the more time you have to enjoy the life you have and that should make you happy.

Once you figure out where the time went you can have a better idea of what to do for the future. By studying where our time has been used up we can better judge how in future we will do these things.

Imagine yourself in the future looking back at what you have done this week. The TV programs you watched will seem like a total waste of your life? Will you wish you had spent those two hours playing with your kids or going out with your partner for a meal?

You can’t tell me you haven’t wasted at least a little of your time today. We do things simply to pass the time of day. What a waste that is. You get no choice in the matter and those hours and minutes have disappeared forever. Spend a few moments every day thinking about your personal time management and decide if what you are doing is what you really want to do. Doing things doesn’t require a plan but if you plan the time you need you will get more done.
