In the beginning, cash flow may be slow and the temptation may be to take on a partner instead. Unless you are 100% sure that you share the same ideas for growing the business I suggest you do what you can to afford an employee. Partners will disagree at times over crucial business practices and plans for expansion. Take it from someone who has been there nothing will kill your future quicker than a partner that you cannot agree with. Not only will the business stagnate but also should you decide to go it alone you could lose many if not all your clients.
